The researchers of the Clinical Microbiology Research Center of Ilam University of Medical Sciences conducted a research on the production of zinc oxide with the ability to inhibit the formation of Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilm. In this study, it was observed that nanoparticles can inhibit the formation of biofilm in the standard strain of Pseudomonas aeruginosa by changing the expression level of genes related to toxin-antitoxin.
